Peg & Tom = 60 years

Last weekend I photographed Peg and Tom's 60th wedding anniversary party. Sixty! I think that is just wonderful and amazing, how many people can say they've spent 60 years with the love of their life? They are just an adorable couple still in love after 60 years. Here are a few highlights from their party.

Their son is a priest so they had a family mass to start the evening. I like this photo, it says to me...Mass for 2 and I envision the two of them standing side by side on their wedding day.
It was a full house of family and friends.
Mom and daughter share a laugh during the sermon.
Peg and Tom listen to the service and a photo of everyone reflected in the chalice as they bless the wine before communion.
Peg's hands with the wedding ring she has never taken off.
After the mass they talked with friends...
...and had some cake. They were so cute cutting the cake and when they were done he licked the icing off her finger. It was a sweet moment :)
A toast to the Peg and Tom. 60 years.
I just thought this was fun with the reflection and the decorations.
Congratulations Peg and Tom! Your love is inspiring.

Scrapbook Page

It's Friday and that means new scrapbook pages :) I do them during the week, and when the kits are released at Scrap That Idea I can finally post them...it's so hard to wait! You know how I love to blog about my adventures in photography and scrapping right away :)

First up is my niece's birthday party. Their birthdays are so close together they decided this year to have one big birthday party instead of two small ones. Smart kids if you ask me except for one little detail...you only get cake one day instead of two ;) But anyway, I made this page using the newest kit from A Work in Progress Designs by Vicki. It's called I {Heart} You and I absolutely love that cute alpha. Oh and I totally love event photography. I love to photograph birthday parties, anniversary parties, weddings, little league games, school carnivals etc. If you are interested in having me come photograph your event contact me.
Second is Christmas PJ's. My brother's family loves the Longhorns. Seriously LOVES the Longhorns. It scares me a little ;) So when we were all visiting my mom for the holidays they put on their matching pajamas and I took a few photos. Artgal Style just released this kit Winter Blessings where the colors worked perfectly with the photos. Woo Hoo...usually I'm changing colors to match but it was my lucky day!
Finally, speaking of LUCKY. I won Layout of the week over at Plain Digital Wrapper. I post my layouts in their gallery and they picked one of mine as the best of all the ones uploaded last week. Me? Seriously? So excited! That's my layout on their homepage, bottom right corner!

Some Clips

I saw a few of my photos run today. It's always interesting to me to see where my photos show up moths after they were taken.

Isaac - Arlington Baby Portraits

This evening I got to spend some time with Isaac and his wonderful family. What a cutie!
I love you "this much"!
 Hands...
 ...and feet.
 A couple with mom.
And his big brother and sister.
 I LOVE this one!
Bright eyes in one of Becca's Beanies.
The way he folds his little hands is so adorable.
 Sweet.
 What a wonderful family :)

My Beautiful Nieces.

Here's a scrapbook page I made for my sweet niece. I took these photos on her birthday last year and I'm just getting around to scrapping them. I used a new set of elements by Vicki that go along with her Calendar Collection. These are the February Elements along with the Calendar Cardstocks and the Calendar Collection Alphas. It's a cool kit and by the end of the year it will be fun to collect all the parts :)
I also used the cardstocks and the Alphas to make cards for Brook and Briana's Birthdays. They fold so the top will be the back of the card and the bottom will be the front. I took their photos at Christmas.

Taylor & Clint's Fort Worth Wedding

Taylor and Clint were married in late December and my wonderful assistants Gregg, Kaitlyn and I were lucky enough to get to capture all the amazing moments of their wedding day. The ceremony was at Robert Carr Chapel which is one of my favorite venues for weddings. The staff there is easy to work with and the building is so classic and pretty. It's a great place to photograph the wedding party. Their reception was at the Norris Conference Center in downtown Fort Worth and this was my first time to shoot there. It's a lovely venue and it's so fun because the bride and groom can put their engagement photos in the holders where the old movie posters went when the building was a movie theater. Cute!
Taylor had her hair done at Shelton's Salon by Andrea Ward, her beautiful flowers were from Flowers on the Square and The Motion Band rocked the reception. Here are the highlights.
You know I love the rings. The red table is just a bonus :)
Her gorgeous dress and matching ruffled shoes.
Getting some help with the dress.
Love this shot of her mom through the veil :)
They had a first glance and I so love that. Not only do the bride and groom get to have a private moment when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day, but it gives us lots of time to take beautiful portraits before the wedding and gets the bride and groom to their reception quicker.
Walking up to Clint...
...and tapping him on the shoulder. Love the looks on their faces here. So cute.
He checks out her dress and veil.
 Love this couple!!
 The gorgeous girls.
 The handsome guys.
The entire wedding party.
 Having a little fun.
Just before the ceremony. Clint takes a moment to pray and Taylor is so excited as she waits with her grandfather.
 Walking down the aisle.
His parents watch as her grandfather and mother give her away. What a wonderful moment this was.
Gotta love ceremonies filled with laughter and tears.
The KISS!

 So happy.
A few details.

The Motion Band rocked the reception all night.
 Dancing.
 Like father like son :)
Taylor's sorority sisters sang her a song and then moved in for a big group hug.
Yummy cake.

The bouquet.

The garter.

The exit.
 Some alone time...
And at the end of the night I got to follow them back to their hotel room and watch him carry her over the threshold. So romantic. Seriously. I love this couple.
Congratulations Clint and Taylor!
