Family Portrait Time!

It's that time of year when the parks in Dallas/Fort Worth are full of families getting photos done for their holiday cards, and I love the families that choose me to capture some special memories for them. The last few weeks have been filled with sessions and I've been editing like crazy, but I wanted to try to share a few from Jessica and Gregg's family session over the weekend. Such a fun family. The two older kids are heading off to college next year while T is turning two.
We actually set up the session to get some two year old photos of this sweet little man. Love his smiles...he was full of energy and loved being outside for the photos.
I had the kids all help me get mom and dad to smile for a photo too :)
 Love these smiles and cuddles.
But most of all I love this...so cute. Once he got started running under the "bridge" he didn't want to stop.
Thanks for having me take your family portraits this season! I'll have them all ready for you soon!

Tori & Ian are married!

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Tori and Ian's perfect wedding. It was magical. Here's a quick peek at their amazing evening at the Dallas Arboretum planned by the fabulous Kristen Powell of Amazing Events. Gorgeous!
Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom, Tori and Ian.
The ceremony went of beautifully and then the reception was held on the lawn under strings of lights. It was a fairy tale in green and gold.
Sweet first dance moment.
While the guests were lining up for the exit I got a chance to grab a few last photos of the happy couple. I love these.
 Flower petal sendoff!
I'll have more photos edited soon! Congratulations!!

Fort Worth Family Portraits

I love this family...that is all.
I think I've been taking their family photos for about 5 or 6 years now...maybe more and this year they added a sweet puppy to the mix.
And what a sweet dog she is...seriously...this dog was smiling for photos. Although the outtakes where she's licking Ethan in the face make me laugh.
Taylor and the kids were awesome and made this the easiest photo session ever.  We got so many great photos with everyone looking at the camera and smiling.
We did try to get one without the dog and Taylor totally photo-bombed it. Really...the dog was not supposed to be in this one and she popped up at the last minute.
A few more cute kid and dog photos.
Lucy is getting so grown up.
And Ethan, as always, was my favorite model.
A few more of the kids.
Love these with dad and with mom.
The girls and the boys.
Love this family photo.
So we had to get a little silly into our session.  Pre-jump, jump and untucked post-jump.
Eho wants to watch mom and dad kiss? not E!
 Love these two.
So we've been taking a version of this basic photo since Lucy was about 1 where Ethan is kissing her and I love it. My favorite.
Thanks for always making great photos for me to take :)

Abby's Amazing Bat Mitzvah

Seriously. Amazing.

I was honored to spend the weekend with Abby and her family as she was called to the Torah at Shearith Israel. Then she had a fabulous part at Sixty Five Hundred in Dallas. Here's a peek....

Abby is a gorgeous girl.

A fun photo with dad and one with her beautiful mom and sister.
 The family with the Torah.
and in front of the Ark.
Abby at the party. Her logo is awesome! Love all that color.
The was bathed in purple light and the dance floor had a balloon sculpture with a disco ball overhead.
A few more party details. Cory of Cocktails and Caviar really transformed the room into a wonderland.
I love how he used a few of the photos I took at Abby's portrait session in the decor and as place cards.
The family arrived a few minutes early so I could get a few photos before the party started.
 Time to celebrate Abby!
 So cute watching the montage.
 Father daughter dance.
And Lea joind in at the end. Love!
 Time for the Hora
Such a great reaction as she goes up in the chair. That happiness all over her face is wonderful.
Everyone goes up in the chair! Abby got showered by confetti too!
Congrats to Abby and her awesome family. I'll have more photos ready for you soon!

Allison's Amazing Bat Mitzvah

Last night was Allison's Bat Mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El and em the Venue and it was super amazing. Allison loves photography so she and I had a great time together at her photo session before the event and taking photos all day yesterday. Love this girl! Laura with L'events did a great job with the planning and decor and DJ Haze and Fenton kept the party on the dance floor all night. So much fun. Here's a peek.
Allison is such a beautiful girl.
And her family is amazing.
Her great grandparents were at the Bat Mitzvah and presented her with her Tallit. I love this! Allison had both sets of grandparents and her great grandparents with her to celebrate. So wonderful!
Alison and her family with the Torah.
Love these two special moment photos.
After the service everyone moved to em the Venue for the party. The decor was stunning. The centerpieces that had a photo taken by Allison in that location on them along with a photo I took of Allison at her portrait session. Such a fun idea.
Japanese Lanterns were hanging over the dance floor in Allison's colors. The color in the room was amazing.
Allison had a gorgeous custom sign in book (made by me) on the table for guest to leave her messages.
A few more beautiful details.
I thought this was fun. There are a few mirrors on the wall at the venue and from certain angle you can see the party. This is the same scene looking at it and looking at it's reflection in the mirror.
The girls were on the stage all night: dancing and singing in the mic.
 Father daughter dance.
 Love love, LOVE this.
Right after the father daughter dance Allison's mom surprised her with a Pinkberry desert table.
 Time for the Hora.
Jessica, dad and Allison chanted with the crowd for mom to go up in the chair. So fun!
 Everyone up in the chair.
At the end of the hora Allison's friends circled her and ran in an out holding hands.
The last song was Time of My Life.
Congratulation Allison. You did amazing yesterday! I'll have the rest of your photos edited soon.
Oh and the chocolate cameras that were favors...LOVE!
