Faith and Thomas are Married!

Last weekend Faith and Thomas had a beautiful intimate wedding. I was lucky to be there. Here are the highlights :)
The rings.
The beautiful dress with the fun purple belt and her awesome purple Converse shoes.
The flowers.
Faith getting ready.
Thomas holding her ring and Faith holding his.
The Bride and Groom. All smiles.
Faith and Thomas wanted to have a first look so we set them up in a little stand out trees outside the venue.
Love those few moments after the first look.
Then we had a just a few minutes in the trees to take a few photos before the ceremony.
Thomas was fun, he picked up a bunch of sticks to hold like a bouquet. It's so reminiscent of "American Gothic" to me.
 We headed to the venue.
The ceremony was small and beautiful.
I like how their hands sort of look like an infinity sign while they hold the rings waiting to trade.
With this ring...
The kiss.
 The wonderful wedding party.
The girls.
The guys.
A fun one of Thomas and Faith in the entry to the Japanese Gardens and one showing the bridal party in all that gorgeousness that is the garden in June.
Some alone time in the garden.
I have to photograph the rings on that gorgeous green.
 Reception time!
I love the way he looks at her with love in his eyes and a smile on his face.
 The cake was so tasty.
 First dance.

The exit!
Just after the walked out I caught this sweet moment between Faith and her dad.
It was magic light time so we snuck around the corner and took a few more photos to commemorate Faith and Thomas' special day. I love this set.
Congratulations Faith and Thomas. I am honored that you chose me to photograph your wedding. Thank you.

Kaitlen & Drew are Married!

Last night I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Kaitlen and Drew in Fort Worth. It was such a beautiful night. I loved their little backyard, vintage inspired nuptials. Here's a peek.

After they got ready they had a first touch around the corner of the house. Drew had written a letter to Kaitlen and she read it while they held hands. No seeing, no talking...just a sweet moment to connect before the big moment.
The ceremony was in the backyard on the property of Kaitlen's extended family. They did a great job decorating and making it special. I love the old doors they found and put at the end of the "aisle". What a fun idea and a special touch to their day.
When Drew saw Kaitlen...wow. Just wow. Best Groom reaction ever. He's a keeper.
A sweet moment between Kaitlen and her day just before he gives her away.
 Love this look. So cute!
Just before giving her the ring.
The doors were really nice to give some perspective to the ceremony.
The kiss and the announcement of man and wife.
Kaitlen and Drew both had tiny photos of the loved ones who were no long with them in her bouquet and his boutonniere. Kaitlen had found some great ideas on Pinterest and she picked and chose the ones that were most special and made the day uniquely theirs. Love that.
The beautiful bridesmaids with frames that tell how they know Kaitlen. Another cool Pinterest idea.
The guys all had fun colorful socks.
Drew was one of my students and I remember his being all about soccer so I knew he could and would jump if I asked. Little did I know all his groomsmen could jump too. One take. Seriously. One take and it's perfect.
The wedding party.
Some alone time. Kaitlen and Drew got married in the evening so by the time the ceremony was over it was pretty much dark outside so we got some nice twilight sky and lots of twinkle lights.
 Romantic shots under the veil.
 The twinkle lights.
 Sparkler exit.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs. McKinnie! Your wedding was absolutely perfect.
