Katy's Bridals.

A week before Katy's wedding we photographed her bridal portraits at the barn where she boards her horse. I was a little nervous about a horse and a wedding dress just one week before the big day, but Katy was prepared, her horse was awesome and we got a ton of great photos.
Beautiful.
We took some in the door to the barn as well as out in the pasture. Gorgeous.
We did a few of Katy without the horse. the blue of the barn really makes her eyes pop.
She wore cowboys boots with her dress...so we had to show them off.
Finally we took a few near a distressed metal wall. Her wedding color was red so these are perfect. Katy is perfect. The horse was perfect. I love days like these.

Katy and Cory are married!

Today I got to photograph the wedding of one of my former students, how cool is that?! It was a beautiful day with a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom and a super fun wedding party. Oh...and we were blessed with beautiful light outside for all the between ceremony and reception photos. Here's a peek at Katy and Cory's perfect little country wedding at Wildscape Ranch in Mansfield, Texas.
They wrote their own vows. There is nothing better than that :) I believe there was on vow where he promised not to complain about her large amounts of glitter..too cute.
A funny moment during the ring exchange.
Aren't they gorgeous? We took most of their photos outside but we did a few inside under the lanterns and twinkle lights too.
Love this one on the dock.
and walking down the dirt road.
Cory is so happy dancing with his bride. Love that smile.
Congratulations Katy and Cory. I'll have the rest of your photos edited soon!

Samantha's Bat Mitzvah

Last week I spent some time with Samantha and her amazing family. Her Bat Mitzvah was Saturday and she was incredible. Here are some highlights.
We photographed her rehearsal a few days before.
 The family with the Torah.
Sam with the Torah. I love the Ark at Shearith Israel, it is gorgeous and glows.
The party was at eM the venue. Her name was in lights on the outside. How cool is that?!
and the inside was bathed in pink light. Beautiful!
 A few party details.
and the desserts! Samantha's dad is a chocolate critic so the desserts we out of this world. Check out his Eat More Chocolate facebook page.
 The blessing.
 Dancing.
The light was like a concert so it was neat when Samantha took over the microphone.
Snowball dance. I love this :)
Snowball!
 Time for the montage.
It wouldn't be a Bat Mitzvah without some blinking rings, glow sticks and sunglasses.
Sam danced all night with her friends.
and then she and her brother Max put on a two song concert. It was fabulous! Sam has great self confidence and totally rocked her moment on stage.
Mom and dad and grandma watching from the crowd :)
 Time for the Hora.
 What a great reaction!
They did a father daughter dance and  there was this cool mirror on the wall I was waiting all night for the right moment to take a photo in the mirror. This works.
Mom danced with younger brother Jeffery during the dance as the other fathers danced with their daughters.
 Sweet :)
 Love this beautiful family!
Finally Sam with her pink wall. Congratulations Samantha you did a wonderful job and your party was fantastic! Thanks for having me as your photographer.

Incredible Isabella

Sunday I got to photograph little miss Isabella. She's just a month old...and beautiful. I photographed her big brother Isaac when he was born a few years ago and it's amazing how much alike they look as newborns. They definitely have the same beautiful parents.
Love this pretty little face :)
Isabella with mom and dad and then with his brothers and sister.
 The whole family.
Amaris and Diego are great with her...and they should be models. What gorgeous kids.
When Isaac was born we did this same photo with him on top of his brother and sister. I love that we were able to recreate it. You can see it in Isaac's post.
A few with daddy. She smiled once...how cute it that?
A few sweet ones with mommy.
 Tiny toes.
 Teeny tiny fingers.
She even opened her eyes for us a few times, but mostly she dozed comfy and cozy in a fluffy pink blanket made especially for her.
 Just beautiful.
Thanks for modeling for me Miss Isabella!
