Richard and Trish's Fort Worth Wedding

I've been working to edit Richard and Trish's wedding photos all week and the more I look at them the more I like them. Why? Because they are a beautiful couple who got marring in a beautiful historic building and put so much of themselves into the wedding. Their photos make em smile when I look at them because they are so happy and it shows in each and every photo from the day. They were married at the Historic YWCA in downtown Fort Worth with the ceremony downstairs and the reception upstairs in the ballroom. Flowers were from Central Market in Fort Worth and they were just gorgeous.

The ballroom has a stage with this gorgeous curtain framing the reception room.
The rooms where Richard and Trish were getting ready were connecting so they could talk to each other through the door. It was seriously cue to see them not being able to see each other.
The wedding has started and Richard is still afraid he's going to see her too soon :)
Trish was all smiles coming down the aisle
While Richard teared up as the ceremony started. That's it. Right there. That's why I photograph weddings. To capture that pure emotion, the joy the happiness. The forever.
I love this on the left are Richards parents holding hands during the ceremony and on the right, Trish's parents exactly the same.
And now Richard and Trish holding hands after they are married.
The ceremony was in front of the fireplace and it was just wonderful.
Afterwards we went outside and had some fun with the bridal party.
A few ring photos. First on their cake topper that Richard hand-painted to look like the beautiful couple and second tied to their favor boxes.
Now for some alone time
Sweet.
Love their smiles here.
Her smile is just so cute as he kisses her on the neck.
Finally...a silhouette at sunset. What an amazing couple!

Wow! I am getting so much play off my Cowboys photos from last week. It's pretty amazing...and they lost the game. I wonder how many photos would run if they won?

Mansfield Family Portraits - The Borthacyre Family

A few weeks ago I photographed some engagements portraits for Beth and Clark. They liked their engagements so much they decided to book me again to take some family portraits for them with her parents. We met at a park in Mansfield, they brought their cute little dog and we had some fun.
A nice little moment between mom and dad.
Here's Lexi and the whole family.
A little homage to Elliott Erwitt.
Here's the Elliott Erwitt original. I have his Dogs book in my classroom and this photo is on the back cover so I see it every day. I love this picture.
This one just makes me happy.

Richard and Trish are Married!

Last Saturday I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Richard and Trish. What a wonderful couple. I'll tell you the truth, it's a little nerve-wracking to shoot the wedding of another photographer, but they were so fun and easy work with I just did my thing and made some beautiful images. Here's a little sneak peek of the sweet, funny, and amazing moments from their wedding day. Thanks to my super assistant Amanda and the staff at the YWCA in Fort Worth who made my job a breeze.

So they had these "little people" that they photographed for their save the date so I had them bring them to the wedding to shoot with their rings. I had to make them look at each other :)

Her dress, shoes and purse.

Her bouquet and the cool cake topper that Richard hand-painted.

While he's dancing his way down the aisle...

...she's waiting at the top of the stairs.

Trish comes down the stairs into the ceremony.

The moment he sees her.

The kiss.

Richard pulled out a camera and took a photo of the new husband and wife and their officiant immediately after she pronounced them husband and wife. Like I said. Super fun couple!

Pure joy on their faces.

The had a centerpiece on a table with their names on leaves so I just had to put their rings there hanging with the leaves.

They had chocolate martinis and each guest got a Piece of Peace as a favor. They were ceramic necklaces with the word peace written in all different languages on the back. Now that's a nice idea...give your wedding guests peace.
Their cake was in front of a mirror...so pretty. And tasty too! Sublime Bakery makes a wonderful cake.
Look how happy she is. I love this moment during the first dance.

I just love his arms totally wrap around her during the first dance. It's like she's wrapped in his love.

So after they cut the cake and fed each other a bite...Richard took off with the plate of cake and Trish was like...hey, where are you going with my cake?! I had to smile.

After the wedding we had a little fun taking photos around downtown Fort Worth.

Such a beautiful couple.
Congratulations Trish and Richard! Thanks for letting me be a small part of your special day. Love you both.
