Lola is one!

This sweet little girl is celebrating her first birthday. Such a cutie!
Love those blue eyes.
She's such a happy little girl and she loves walking in her pink converse shoes.
She wasn't too sure about the smash cake in the beginning, but she loved the yellow pedestal and ended up having some fun throwing the cake off the pedestal.
Yum!
Happy Birthday Lola!

Katie's Amazing Bat Mitzvah

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Katie's fabulous Bat Mitzvah. She such a fun, beautiful, smart girl that it was easy to get amazing photos. Laura from L'events did a wonderful job with the planning and both venues were filled with amazing light. The new Stern Chapel at Temple Emanu-El is simply gorgeous and eM The Venue is always a great place to work. Here's a peek at yesterday's amazing...
Katie was absolutely perfect Saturday morning during the service. I love the Ark in the new Stern Chapel it's covered in a weaving made from copper wires and recycled mylar balloons. It photographs like a rainbow and its gorgeous.

A little wider shot of the family at the bimah with the beautiful wall of glass behind them.
 Katie at the Torah.
A few more fun family portraits.
The party was full of light and color.
 More party details.
 The dance floor.
Katie's gorgeous guest book I designed was on display for everyone to sign. I love these books!
Katie and her family got to the party a little early for a few portraits.
 Then it was party time!
DJ Haze and Fenton kept the dance floor packed all night.
The girls beat the boys in the Hula Hoop contest.
Mom and Dad rocked the mic and danced all night too.
Katie's friends did a special dance for her.
and everyone went up in the chair for the Hora. Katie's friends even lifted her!
 Such a fun party.
Mavel Tov Katie! I'll have the rest of your photos ready soon!

Brandy & Jim

Tonight I photographed the most perfect little intimate wedding in Fort Worth. Brandy and Jim are so sweet and perfectly in love with each other. I loved their wedding and their photos. Such a perfect day. Here's a peek.
Jim was blown away when Brandy came around the corner and he saw her in her dress. His reaction was priceless.
As she walked up the aisle he put his hand over his heart. Now I don't cry much at weddings but this...this made me tear up. Such a happy, happy moment.
A few moment from the service. Brandy watched Jim as his daughter played guitar and sang a song to them, they did a hand binding ceremony where their hands were wrapped together with a cord and of course the first kiss.
Their rings on the chorus of the song Jim's daughter sang. "That's why I know you are the one."
Congratulations Brandy and Jim! I'll have the rest of your photos ready for you soon!

Emma's Bat Mitzvah

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Emma's Bat Mitzvah in Dallas at Temple Emanu El and the Aloft Hotel. Emma did a fabulous job as she was called to the Torah in the morning and Cory of Cocktails and Caviar turned the Aloft Hotel Dallas into an amazing "Downtown" scene for Emmy's night with food trucks, graffiti and amazing lighting. Here's a peek.

Meet the beautiful, talents and athletic Emma. We did a photo session in Deep Ellum a few months before her party so we would have some photos of Emma to decorate the venue. She was a fabulous model.
Saturday afternoon we got the the Temple before the service to take a few photos with family and the Torah.
Emma's sweet grandfather presented her with her Tallit.
Emma with mom and her siblings. What a beautiful family.
Finally Emma in front of the stained glass at the temple and then in the neon lights at her party.
While Emma was reading from the Torah at the Temple I went over to the Aloft Hotel to take some photos of the gorgeous setup for her party. This is the main room bathed in blue and purple light with a "food truck" parked alongside the dance floor.
The first room you saw when you walked down the stairs had lots of color and a few giant prints of Emma on the walls. The adult food trucks were in the next room and then the main room had picnic tables witht eh dance floor and the kids food trucks. So much beautiful colorful light!
The main entrance had her theme on it in graffiti, there were gorgeous flowers on the tables and the chairs were lit with colorful light as well.
I love how Cory used a few of my photos of Emma huge as decor pieces. They looked amazing! And Emma had me custom design a guest book with her photos in it for people to sign as they entered the party.
After the service several buses brought the kids over from the Temple and Emma finally got to make her grand entrance.
She stood on the speakers and sang  the Macklemore and Ryan's "Downtown"
There was lots of dancing including a sweet father daughter dance.
And a fabulous confetti filled Hora.
As the guests left they were treated to cake balls on the table below another gorgeous photo of Emma.
Congratulations on your Bat Mitzvah Emma. I'll have the rest of your photos ready soon.
