 The church is gorgeous...

I am so super excited about today's wedding. We are in Grand Rapids at the Amway Grand Hotel and today is just going to be wonderful. Here are a few photos from last night's rehearsal.
Love the way he looks at her. This is an amazing couple! Look at their cute welcome boxes too!
So theri ceremony is in a ballroom that looks like the oval office. :)
 The Gerald Ford Ballroom.
Love that laugh. It's going to be a fun day!

Beth and Don are getting married!

I am so excited for tomorrow! Beth and Don will be getting married and it's going to be so much fun.

Mom and Dad peek out the front door of the chapel to make sure everyone's inside and ready to go for the rehearsal and Don and his groomsmen file in and wait for the girls to come down the aisle.
Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire Tami Winn talks the ring bearer and flower girl into walking down the aisle separately.
Kent and Beth practice the walk :) Love that smile!
 The hand off.
 Mom's taking in all in.
Notice how the chapel ceiling makes a "W"? Thats for the Wonderful Worley Wedding Weekend :) Yes, I'm crazy but it's true...it's a wonderful weekend for a wedding. Gotta practice the kiss too.
Mom and dad danced their way back out of the chapel. They're so fun. I love them.
After the run through everyone sat on the edges of the aisle so the flower girl could practice handing out the flowers. Here, she's giving one to the groom. What a cutie!
Off to the rehearsal dinner and Falyn gives her Dad a kiss as Rachel watches. Too sweet.
Congratulations Beth Don and Falyn! Tomorrow's going to be fun!

Rachel and Jason are getting married!

Tomorrow! I've been waiting on this one for a while and I am super excited for the wedding. Want to know why? They are a beautiful couple with four kids in the ceremony. Enough said. I love weddings where kids are involved. Why? Because they are so cute all dressed up like tiny adults and you never know what they are going to do. It's unpredictable and fun and always makes for great photos :)

Like I said. Kids are fun. Right when I got there to the rehearsal the boys ran up to the altar and started posing. They are ready for tomorrow! And Mikaela was a dancing queen...she's ready for the reception.
The wedding party waits patiently and a pretty photos of their hands in front of the cross. The light in Marty Leonard Chapel is gorgeous!
A cute moment when the minister told Jason he had to keep his eyes on Rachel and then he went into the first part of the ceremony as he asked Jason if he would buy Rachel an Aston Martin, and then asked Rachel if she would drive the Aston Martin, and finally asked her dad if he would pay for the Aston Martin. Fun couple plus fun minister equals a rehearsal full of laughter. I like that!
Like I said, smiles and laughter all night. My heart smiles when I see a couple so happy and in love.
My favorite photos from the night. "Who want to see them kiss?" His son jumps up, raises his hand and shouts "I do!" Yeah...me too :)
Before the end of the rehearsal I saw this sweet moment between Jason and his mom and daughter. Aww. I love this.
Congratulations Rachel and Jason! May tomorrow be the start of a wonderful journey full of joy.

Taylor and Clint are Getting Married!

Tomorrow! I am so excited. Taylor and Clint are such a fun couple...they never stopped laughing and smiling at the rehearsal this evening. The wedding is going to be amazing
Taylor had the biggest bow-quet. I've ever seen. That's such a fun tradition to make a rehearsal bouquet from the ribbons and bows from your shower gifts. Taylor's was pretty awesome.
Like I said, laughing and smiling and looking at each other with so much love in their eyes all night long. I love this couple!
Check back soon. I'll have wedding photos posted in the next week!

Diana and Matt are getting married!

I'm so excited. Diana and Matt are getting married tomorrow and I am lucky enough to be their photographer. Let me tell you a story.

I started teaching school 8 years ago and Diana was one of my students the second year I taught. She was one of those students...the ones that make teaching a wonderful, rewarding job. She is just an amazing young lady. There are kids out there that touch your heart, Diana and her brother Scott were two of those kids for me. In December she called me and told me she was getting married and would I photograph her wedding. Of course, I wouldn't miss it for anything!
This is the lovely Diana.

Diana's brother Scott and their dad pray.

Diana's "bow"quet.

Diana watches Matt walk his mom down the aisle.

Love this one where Diana and her mom are practically sharing a chair and grandma leans over and pats mom on the back. It's so perfect.

A wide shot of the sanctuary as Diana stands at the end of the aisle with her dad.

Practicing the vows.

A funny moment when Matt showed the "Ring" to everyone.

Practicing the rings. I like taking photos at the rehearsal that are impossible to take at the wedding. No way would I stand this close to the bride and groom during the real ceremony.

This is such a sweet moment at Matt leans in to whisper to Diana.

I can't wait for tomorrow :) I'm sure Matt and Diana feel the same way.

Emily and Josh are getting married!

It was a busy evening for me I had a wedding rehearsal at 5 and a magazine shoot at 8 and in the middle I took some photos at Emily and Josh's rehearsal. They are such a fun couple as you will see in the photos.
This is why I go the the rehearsal. If you have been to a wedding you know they are all similar...but different. I like to know the order of my brides' ceremony and make sure I'm aware of all the special little things they might be planning for the wedding day.

Look at how he's looking at her. That's it. That's why I shoot the weddings. I love to see that look, that smile, right there. It makes my insides melt.

There are just some photos you can't take at a wedding. They are having a sand ceremony and while the pastor was talking I could see their hands through the glass so I walked up and took the picture. Never would I do that during a ceremony.

I was too far away to hear what was being said but I just think this photo is great.

The pastor made up some vows about Emily getting to spend all the money on whatever she wants. What a great reaction.

So do we kiss or not? They took a vote. Kissing won.

So then the pastor made them practice the kiss about five times. It was really fun.
A prayer at the end of the rehearsal.

I had to zoom in and take a close-up because I absolutely love how he is holding her hand in both of his.

Tonight I spent the evening at the rehearsal for Robert and Laura's wedding. It's going to be an amazing day :)
Beer and Salt Lick barbecue at Thurman's Mansion in Driftwood, TX.

Awesome bottle koozies!

What a beautiful backdrop.

Super cool lighting that looks like a heart. Gotta love that...pun intended:)

Samantha and Jeremiah are getting married!

Samantha and Jeremiah will be married tomorrow so tonight I went to the rehearsal to scout it out. Of course I took photos while I was there. Here are a few you might like.

So this is totally cute. I love seeing Sam and her dad peeking around the door to see everyone else walk in.

The Big Entrance.

The wedding party...lensbaby style.

Take my hand...

Aren't they the cutest couple?

The kiss.

The Grand Exit! I can't wait for tomorrow!
