Drew Part Two

This morning I went back to photograph sweet little Drew...again :) He's adorable. Last time he would not close his eyes for even a second so that we could get some sweet sleepy photos, today we got lucky.
Look at his perfect little fingers.
So handsome!
Love the eyelashes. He's going to be a heartbreaker :)

Darling Drew

Yesterday I got to photograph sweet little 15-day-old Drew :)
He's super handsome and already trying to lift his head by himself.
Mommy's awesome too. She bought this cute little hat. Look at those big beautiful eyes!
 Perfect little baby feet.
Welcome Drew! I can't wait to take more photos of you!

I {heart} basketball :) and hockey and baseball and football...OK I'll admit I just love taking photos.

Great Kids

I've always been blessed with teaching great kids, but sometimes there are ones that really stand out.

A few years ago Hayden was in my class, and he had this goal of wearing a University of Texas shirt to school every day. Of course I gave him a hard time about it...EVERY day. EXCEPT those days he wore his ROTC uniform. Well long story short, Hayden is no longer in my class. He's in college and on the Color Guard carrying the United States flag in the ROTC at UTA. UTA...that's part of the University of Texas system, right? ;) So I a way he really did wear a UT shirt every single day.

Anyway, I'm super proud of Hayden and I took this nice photo of him last night at the game. I hope you like it too.

Baseball Season

So baseball season has started for might have been freezing outside with a wind chill of brrrr...but UTA had a scrimmage today and I was there :)

Here are three photos I like from opening day of Sharon's baseball season.
It exiting and terrifying at the same time to let them throw right at me for a photo. You just have to trust that the catcher is going to do his job.
I love putting a little perspective in the shots. Since there were very few people in the stands today I felt like is was a good time to shoot the fan's point of view.
And a pretty picture of the balls. I like the little details :) Always have.
Play Ball!

News Photos

Last night I got to photograph Rick Santorum on the campaign trail in Texas. It was pretty cool and I haven't covered any politics since the last election so it was a nice change of pace for me. I went to two events in Allen and Plano and ended up working the photos on my laptop in the front seat of my car and sending with my MiFi because I didn't have time to find a Starbucks to work in comfort :)

Here are the clips:
The National Journal
 The Jakarta Globe
 Bloomberg News
 The Chicago Tribune
Christian Science Monitor
 The Herald Democrat
The Houston Chronicle - of course they went with the cowboy hat photo :)
Merced Sun-Star
 San Antonio
 Seattle Post Intelligencer
Sulekha...whatever that is? But they put a bunch of my photos in the slideshow so I like it.
 Texas Monthly. That one's cool.
 USA Today
Yahoo News Photo of the day Gallery. photo of the pink socks ran on the UTA website yesterday as well.
Oh...and some random cowboys photos showed up in my google alerts.
The Washington Times
Dallas Morning News
and a second Yahoo News Photo of the Day gallery pic.
Thanks for looking :)

It's been a while since I've posted any clips and that's not because I haven't taken any photos. On the contrary...I've been super busy with basketball and the opening of the new arena at the University of Texas at Arlington. Wednesday we covered the grand opening and first two games at College Park Center and it was amazing. The coolest thing we did was set up a time lapse early in the day to capture everything that happened in the arena from a static position. It turned out pretty darn cool. Gregg was the mastermind of this and he did a great job on it.
Then here are some photos from the games that ran on the UTA website.
Men's Game
 Women's game
 Both teams won :) Awesome.
