Halee's Senior Portraits

Last week Halee came to visit me and we made some gorgeous photos to celebrate her senior year. Here's a peek.

First she is a Texas Rangers fan so we started bright and early at the Ballpark. It was cold and windy but Halee was a trooper and we got some beautiful All-American girl kind of photos.
Then we stopped at a little yellow building.
...and an abandoned car wash. I love this place.
Then we went to my favorite little park where the light is just perfect.
Halee is in FFA so we made the trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards for a few.
Finally we stopped at my studio for a few high key photos with a little pop of color.
Congratulations on your graduation Halee! You are an amazing model.

Published photos

Tonight I got to photograph the Dallas Stars vs Columbus Blue Jackets game...for just over 6 minutes. One of the players had a medical emergency and they suspended the game. In all my years shooting sports I've never seen that happen. I was shocked. Rich Peverly was taken from the bench, treated and transported to a hospital and I photographed the reaction. I hope that this never happens again. Rich is OK according to news reports but it was pretty scary there at the arena for a while. I got 183 google alerts so I won't post them all but here are a few.

Ashley's Senior Portraits

This morning I got to spend a few hours beautiful Ashley at a park in Mansfield. She's a Summit High School senior and she's so much fun. Her sister actually paid for her session as her graduation gift. I think that's the nicest thing ever. Annemarie you are so thoughtful. Here's a peek at her amazing senior portraits.
Ashley is such a beautiful girl.
With a gorgeous smile.
She brought her dog, Viking,  to pose with her for a few. He was actually pretty cooperative.
She plays soccer so we took some photos with her letter jacket, cleats and a soccer ball.
 Love this.
And of course a few cap and gown pics.
Thanks for picking me to take your senior portraits. You are amazing.

Shannon's Bat Mitzvah Party

Last night I had the joy of photographing Shannon's Bat Mitzvah Party. It was originally planned for last December, but here in Dallas we had an ice storm on her big day and the party had to be postponed. So yesterday...you'll never guess...freezing rain and sleet. What are the odds? But this time there was power and heat and everyone was able to come out and party with Shannon to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah at Northwood Country Club. It was amazing and I'm so glad I got to work with Carol at Amazing Events, DJ P Love and Fenton and his Revelation Studio dancers last night. It was a spectacular party. Here's a peek.
 Beautiful Shannon.
The whole amazing family at the entrance to the party. I love that entryway created from the photos I took of Shannon at her pre-event portrait session. We had so much fun that day and I love how they incorporated all the photos into the party decor.
Speaking of the decor. Carol did a fabulous job transforming the ballroom. There were four big photos in the entry and more around the room which started out lit in blue/green but as the party heated up the colors began changing.
She used the photos to decorate the table centerpieces all in the fun Shannon Night Live theme.
Shannon rocking the party with DJ P Love with another of her cool portraits on a big sign behind the DJ stand.
I love this smile as she's lifted for the Hora.
The whole family together during the hora.
The party ended with a shower of confetti. What a perfect night.
Congratulations Shannon! Your party was outstanding!

Kristi & Seph are married!

Kristi and Seph got married last night at The Orchard in Azle, Texas. What a wonderful couple with a super fun bridal party. Here's a little peek :)
Their gorgeous rings.
They did a first look so we had lots of time before the wedding to take portriats. Super cute portraits.
The wedding party was so much fun. We decided to reverse the roles and photograph the guys with the flowers and the girls in a typical groomsmen pose. I think it turned out great.
Of course we did the real bridesmaids and groomsmen photos too.
 The first kiss.
Love this coming back up the aisle together.
After the ceremony...a pinky swear.
 Pretty Light.
At the end of the night they had a private dance. Ahhh...I love the private last dance in a room filled with colorful light.
Congratualtions Kristi and Seph! I'll get the rest of your photos edited soon!
