Family Time!

A few weeks ago I met Melanie, Mark and their four amazing kids. We took photos in the studio an then at one of my favorite urban locations. Mom brought the kids rain boots and those photos turned out super cute!

What a wonderful family.
Tanner, Annika, Levi and Cady.
We had so much fun running and jumping and taking photos outside.
Then mom pulled out the rain boots. I love these! The colors are fun and the kids had a great time modeling them.
 Oops...too cute :)
...and who doesn't love a good silly face photo?
Show me your muscles, who has more? Boys? Girls?
Thanks for choosing Ellman Photography for your family photos this year. I hope you love them all!

Family Portrait Sunday, Part 3

Family Portrait Sunday included Isaac's first birthday photos. And cake! You can never go wrong with cake if you ask me. Mom brought a baby bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Have you had one? Oh they are pretty amazing. My favorite is red velvet, no white white chocolate, no carrot, no chocolate chocolate chip. Nevermind, I'm not going to lie...I like them all :) Like might not be the correct word though...do you think I can do this on my birthday? I might need a bigger cake for all the candles ;)
I think Isaac likes cake as much as I do!
His brothers and sister came along for some family portraits.
They were awesome models!
This one of mom, dad and Isaac is so fun.
Thanks for coming to Family Portrait Sunday. Your family is amazing!

Family Portrait Sunday, Part 2

Family Portrit Sunday included a maternity session for Will and Jenn...and Drew! I can't wait to photograph this sweet little man. I love him already :)
We've been taking Jenn's photo in the frame every month and we finally asked Will to join us for a few photos.
Sweet...
 ...love.

More Holiday Fun

Sunday I got to spend some time with one of my favorite families. I've been photographing Lauren and her parents since Lauren was born. Love them! Mom is always great with outfits and props so the photos turn out amazing!
Yes, she a cutie! Love those pigtails :)
Red white and green...the perfect Holiday Palette. With lights...
 ...and without.
Lauren is so full of joy. I just love this little girl :)

Family Portrait Sunday

The Sunday before Thanksgiving was family portrait Sunday at Ellman Photography. We had five sessions in the studio...all families, all fun, all day. Mike and Erin brough their adorable boys over from Dallas and here are a few of my favories from their session.
Super cute kids! Zachary is a fun model and Liam has got those beautiful giant baby eyes. Love!
They are so sweet together.
This one is my favorite.
 What a beautiful family :)
Thanks for choosing us to take your family photos!

Kyndel + Neil = Married

About a month ago I got to photograph Kyndel and Neil's wedding in Amarillo, Texas. It was so amazing to be a part of their wedding weekend. I babysat Kyndel from when she was about 6 months old until I graduated high school and her Dad gave me my first job in the news media at KFDA Channel 10 in Amarillo. I love this family so it was especially wonderful to watch Kyndel tie the knot with the love of her life.

Here are the highlights!
The rings. The stained glass windows were so beautiful at Trinity Lutheran Church that I wanted to capture the colors in their rings...and you can never go wrong with the heart :)
Her dress and handmade jewelry. She had her grandmothers pearls made into jewelry for her wedding day. Love that!
Her shoes. Seriously love these windows.
The flower girls dropped fall leaves instead of rose petals since it was a fall wedding.
He sees her...she sees him :)
When she got the the end of the aisle, Neil wiped a tear away with his cowboy hat. I was crying too.
 A hug from dad.
And big smiles as they move up to the altar. This kid at the back of the church was so cute during the ceremony.
Gorgeous church
The kiss!
Aren't they a beautiful couple?
The gorgeous girls.
 The handsome men
They each wanted to do something fun with the bridal party as well.
The whole wedding party. What a fun group!
Reception details. I had to photograph these little glass plates. They reminded me of all the church socials I went to as a kid and Kyndel is an Eagles fan while Neil is a cowboys fan.
Mike Chism and Hollow Point played their reception at the Amarillo Civic Center.
First dance
Kyndel's mom had a surprise for her. She had Kevin Fowler record an introduction to the Father Daughter Dance Congratulating Kyndel and Neil on their marriage. They danced to his song "Daddies and Daughters". Kyndel was shocked! It was really fun to watch.
Love this.
Mother Son Dance :)
And the party gets started!
A sweet moment at their table when no one was looking...except me ;)
 Cake.
 Champagne.
 Toasts.
 Tears.
The bouqut and garter toss.
I love this couple. They were so much fun to photograph. We've been all over the state of Texas for their wedding. We started with some...not so real engagement photos in Nacodoches last may, then real engagement photos in Normangee, Bridals in Waco and finally their wedding in Amarillo. We did a day after session at the Cadillac Ranch and it was COLD. Kyndel was a trooper in her strapless dress while the rest of us had on long sleeves, and jackets but the pictures are amazing so it was worth it. There was a tourist at the Cadillacs who gave us his can of spray paint when he was done so we painted their wedding date on one of the cars :)
My favorite.
Then we went downtown and took some photos. Fun sun flare at this heart bench.
 Shadows on a distressed wall.
More favorites.
 Under the veil.
Congratulations Kyndel and Neil! Thanks for letting me be a part of the wonderful that was your wedding :)
