Kristen and Brett

Kristen and Brett are getting married! We took a few engagement photos today and I just have to share.
They are such a happy beautiful couple and I love that they are from my Red Raider Nation :)
We started out at a pretty little park I had never been to before with a great gazebo.
Then we took one of their bikes and went to Lakeside park.
I love the bridge at Lakeside park and it's funny we were all looking on the internet for engagement ideas with a bicycle and we all found this particular idea independently so we had to see what we could do. I like it.
and I like this too :)
A few at the park without the bike, so sweet.
Finally we went to the site of their first date. I love trying to incorporate a special place into engagement photos so that they are more than just pretty pictures. I don't think Kristen and Brett will ever forget their first date nor will they forget the hecklers that were telling them how to pose for photos from the patio of the restaurant. One lady even got up and came into the street to give us some "advice". We didn't take her advice, but I think we did pretty good ;)
Congratulations Kristen and Brett! I can't wait for your wedding!

Stephanie and Chris are married!

Last night I had the honor of photographing Stephanie and Chris' amazing wedding at the Hickory Street Annex in Fort Worth. They are such a wonderful couple and I am lucky enough that I've known Stephanie for about 8 years now. She was one of my students, moved to New York, went to college, met Chris and they moved back Texas to start their journey as husband and wife together. I love being a part of my students lives beyond the day they leave my classroom. Stephanie's a special one and she found the perfect man for her. Here's a peek at happiness...
The beautiful couple. I love them.
We took a little time before the ceremony to photograph each of them alone. Steph's photos were inside because it started to rain but we got lucky after that and the rain went away and we were able to take all the rest of the photos outside. Yay!
Chris and Stephanie's brothers show off their matching socks.
The ceremony was held upstairs in front of a wall of windows. It was stunning. I love this moment right after the kiss..their expressions are priceless.
And this moment...makes me cry. It's just the sweetest.
Picture time and the flower girl wanted nothing to do with it. I think it's super cute anyway. The ring bearer...he's all about the photos though. Look at that grin.
The gorgeous girls.
 The amazing guys.
 The whole faboulous wedding party.
Some alone time for Chris and Stephanie. Stephanie's matron of honor was awesome. I asked her to go intot he reception and grab me the "B" and the state pictures from the entry and she sprinted off in heels. Rachel, can you come to every wedding with me?
First dance under the Japanese lanterns.
Congratulations Chris and Stephanie. I love you guys! I'll get the rest of your photos edited soon.

Eric's Bar Mitzvah

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Eric's Bar Mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El. What a fun family! Jeffery from Spice of Life Catering was awesome to work with and he turned the recemtion hall into pure Emazing. Yes, I said Emazing...the Eric's Emazing Evening. Here's a peek.
Eric and the Torah
Love this one with the shadow that shows his profile.
We had lots of time before the service so we we able to get everyone up on the Bimah for a beautiful family photo.
 Eric and his awesome mom.
We took some traditional photos but they wanted to do some fun ones too. I love the stained glass at temple Emanu-El, it's one of my favorite backgrounds.
Mom wanted to try a serious face pose and they nailed it.
One more non-traditional family photo. This one in the seats. Its puts the focus on Eric...Perfect.
Now on to the gorgeous reception. The lighting in the room was out of this world. The tables are custom built with lights inside them, I've never seen anything quite like this.
The adult tables had white flowers in vases on silver pedestals.
And the Kids side of the room....bar height lit tables with cylinders of fish. The fish were swimming in lit up water...super cool!
I've got lots of party photos to edit but I wanted to share the Hora ones with you today. I love that it worked out that Eric's brother and dad were right in the front of  this photo.
Last one...fist pump. You did it Eric! Fabulous job today.

Sports

You know I love to photograph sports and it's been a busy few weeks. Here are a few highlights.
Last night's Dunbar vs Birdville game was lead on DFW Varsity
with a nice little slideshow as well.
The team photo I took of TCU volleyball was on the home page of gofrogs.com last week.
Until they started their weekend tournament and then they replaced it with an action photo from the game.
There was a nice little slideshow as well. This team is so much fun to photograph.
and I saw a few old photos form Dallas Cowboys games I shot show up in the internet.
Lower Hudson used a photo from last year's Cowboys Giants game.
and News Oklahoma used a photos from the Cowboys vs Bengals game this preseason.
Thanks for looking. I'll be on the Sports beat again next week and weekend. TCU volleyball has a big game against Texas Wednesday...go out and watch a game, it's a great atmosphere!

Carly's a cutie!

Today I got to meet the sweetest little 8-day-old sweetie, Carly. I photographed her parent's wedding last year and now they are a perfect little family of three :)
She really is just precious laying on a handmade quilt.
Both of her parents are Aggies so we did a few with their Aggie rings and a maroon and white tutu. We also listened to Robert Earl Keene through the whole session and I'm pretty sure if Robert Earl Keene is your lullaby you are a future Aggie...Carly loved it.
 With mommy...
...and Daddy
love these two as well. The pink and grey is so calm and pretty.
A perfect sleepy baby and perfect little toes.
Finally, I remembered their bedroom form the day I shot Adrienne getting ready for her wedding and I knew I wanted to photograph them with the baby on the bed reflected in this mirror in the corner of the room...they are simply perfect.
Congratulations Adrienne and Jordan! Carly is beautiful.

Megan + Brady = Love

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Megan and Brady's wedding at Sanford House in Arlington. When I say they were a fun wedding party...I mean it! They danced down the aisle and wore yellow sunglasses for their photos. We had so much fin at their wedding. Here's a peek.
Megan and Brady have so much fun together. I love this candid moment from their post ceremony portraits. Aren't they adorable?
 The bling!
So they really did dance in...I wasn't kidding about that. It was awesome!
Wearing yellow sunglasses and checkered Vans, Brady waits for his bride, and she was all smiles when she saw him. Love!
The Sanford House is a gorgeous outdoor venue.
The best man "lost" the ring. And as a twist on the usual the last groomsman walked up and did the magic trick where he pulled the ring from behind the best man's ear. Awesome! I also love the ring bearer just running around. He's their super cute two-year-old son. He didn't hang with us for very many photos but the ones we did get of him are priceless.
...Like this one. Hello everyone, I know there are some people getting married back there but look at me :) Cute!
Laughter and Love. That's what it's all about.
And they danced back down the aisle :)
 The wedding party...
 ...was awesome!
And Megan and Brady are perfect.
Congratulations Megan and Brady. I'll have the rest of your photos edited soon!
