Scrapbook Page

Last week I was checking my favorite scrapbooking blogs and Mel Hains was having a contest to comment about what you would do if you had two more hours in your day. So I entered. As we all know I work like 12 hours a day every day so I would actually love to have two hours to spend time with my family and friends. No computer, no cell phone, just actual person to person time. I posted my comment on her blog and I won. Seriously. I never win anything and she gave me this really cool digital scrapbooking kit called Just Love Me that she designed and sells in her online store. If you digital scrapbook you should go check out her site. I love all of Mel's kits and I use them all the time in my personal scrapbooking but she also allows her kits to be used S4O and S4H. Mel is awesome. Check out her blog.

Saturday morning I took some photos that I thought fit perfectly with the kit so I thought I would make a page for you to see. I guess I used my two hours today to scrapbook :) Lucy was wearing a dress just the right shade of pink to match the heart elements and the green background paper worked well with the background of the photo. Its a perfect match
All the papers, elements and alpha are from Mel's Just Love Me kit and the Font is Haven from Sugar Frog Fonts.

Thanks Mel. I love the kit! You Rock!

Lucy loves kisses :)

So Saturday morning I took some family photos and I just love, love LOVE this photo of Ethan giving his baby sister a kiss. It's super sweet and Lucy really does love kisses :) How cute are they?

One Heart.

For the last few years I've been taking photos of the One Heart Bowl. It's a pretty amazing football game. Faith Christian Academy plays Grapevine State School and the fans and cheerleaders support the players from Gainsville as if they were the home team. It's really heart-warming to see the looks on the players faces when they feel the love coming from the stands. The players from Gainsville are all juvenile offenders and most don't have the love of friends or family. They basically get out of juvie on Friday nights and get to feel like regular kids for a few hours, except for the guards watching over them.

My good friend David Thomas has written a book about the One Heart Game and you can buy it on Amazon now. It will be released in stores in a few months. I'm reading it now and it's great.
I tok this in the fourth quarter and I really love the feeling of it.

Food Photos

Today I got the opportunity to take some food photos for a recipe book. How cool is that!
All the dishes included the famous Hatch Chiles.
Shooters.
Sliders.
Shrimp.
Spoon Rests.

TCU football

Last night I photographed the TCU football game so I thought I'd put a few of my favorites on the blog.
Yesterday was September 11th so there was a really nice ceremony before the game where two flags were presented two two veterans. It was pretty humbling to watch.
A shot from above during warm-ups.
Coach Patterson leads his team onto the field.
Trying to stop the run.
A leaping touchdown.
Lots of good faces.
Love this shot of the quarterback laughing and smiling on the sideline. Football is fun.
