The weekend started with a casual Shabbat Dinner at Alex's grandparents home. Friday was actually Alex's birthday so it was a perfect weekend. It's actually rare for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah to actually be on the kids birthday. It's pretty special when it works out that way.
The next afternoon there were portraits at Temple Emanu-El followed by the service. Love this shot of the whole family.
Alex with the Torah.
What a great family to work with.
Once last one from the Temple where Alex sparkled leading the service then it was off to the party.
And what a party it was! The Empire Room was transformed into a pink and orange wonderland. Japanese lanterns hung from the ceiling over the dance floor in a room lit in pink and orange.
The cocktail hour was all orange and gold with fringes swooping down from the ceiling, orange and white furniture with a few pink accents while the party room was mostly pink with a few orange accents. Gorgeous!
A few details from the entry. I love Alex's Logo and how the AR works perfectly into the word "pARty" So clever! The entry table was gorgeous and showcased a beautiful sign in book I created for Alex full of photos we took a few months ago.
Party time and Alex makes her grand entrance.
Dancing with friends.
Time for the Hora!
Everyone in the family went up in the chair and it was fabulous! Love those lanterns in the background instead of just ceiling.
Congratulations Alex! You did an amazing job yesterday!
