Lisa and Brandon in Dallas

Sunday Lisa, Brandon and I spent a few hours taking fun engagement photos in Dallas. I love this couple, they are so fun!
We started at the reflecting pool over at the opera house. We had perfect weather for reflecting the skyline.
 Love this place...
...and this couple.
Lisa wanted to see what the fisheye would look like so I pulled out the lensbaby with the fisheye lens and it looks pretty cool. I don't typically use my fisheye on engagement shoots but it really worked with the opera house in the background. It sort of gives me that peeking in on a private moment feeling and I like it.
 Super cool wall.
Not really an alley, but it looks like it and it's red!
I love to play with murals on walls.
Some close-ups with a nostalgic feeling.
Then we went over to a park so we could get the skyline in the background but it was really too foggy. I like the photos we got better with the trees than the skyline anyway :)
Then...Balloons! First with the lensbaby with the regular lens in it.
I love how it blurs the corners.
Then another with the fisheye optic in. Cute!
The balloons were so much fun and Lisa gave one to every kid we saw at the park. They were so excited! I think Lisa's a big kid at heart :)
 Finally their college shirts.
I hope you love your photos! I can't wait for your wedding. It's going to be ahhh...mazing!

State Bound!

One of my students made All-State band. How impressive is that? I remember trying out for All-Region Orchestra when I was in Junior High and it was super competitive and scary. And that was just for the region...not the whole state! So he asked if I might take a few photos of him with his tuba and of course I said yes. Here are my favorites :)
We had a lot of fun...Hirsto has lots of personalty :)
Hands.
 Love this one.
My favorites. Love the old school feel of the brick wall and harsh shadow.
Congratulations Hirsto. I'm super proud of you!

Nicole = Simply Gorgeous.

Now that Nicole is married I can safely share a few of her amazing bridal portraits. We took them the last week of December and lucky for us it was an amazing unseasonably warm winter day.
She wore cool lace up sandals so we had to show them off.
 Gorgeous.
 and fun!

Nicole and Daniel

Here are a few more images from Nicole and Daniels' amazing wedding day in North Richland Hills.

Her flowers were all made of fabric. Unique and beautiful.
Beautiful dresses...
 and veil.
Some beautiful ceremony details...a handmade ring bearer pillow, the flower girl and rose petals lining the aisle.
Mom helps her with the veil and her amazing blue eyes in the mirror.
I love this photo of her dad seeing her on her wedding day. The mirror was perfect.
Walking down the aisle to the altar.
Love the reflection in the shiny floor and the vintage feel of this one. The Northeast Wedding Chapel is really beautiful.
A few more from the ceremony.
The bride and groom. You can see a few more of Nicole's amazing bridal photos here.
The gorgeous girls.
 Handsome guys.
 Super fun amazing couple :)
Such fun vintage details at the reception including the toasting glasses from her parents wedding. LOVE!
And remember they had pie...and IBC Cream soda. So awesome. I think the upside down crystal vases with vintage china plats on top to create pedestals for all the pies is a fabulous idea. I am so stealing this for my next dinner party.
So happy together!
I loved your wedding!

Nicole and Daniel are Married!

Today Nicole and Daniel got married in a beautiful ceremony at the Northeast Wedding Chapel. They are a super fun couple and their wedding was oh so cool. They had lots of fun details that made their wedding unique like pie instead of cake and IBC Cream Soda as a favor. Fun! Here's a quick peek at their photos.
The rings.
Daniel and his guys all wore white Converse shoes and all the flowers were made of fabric. Amazing.
Nicole's dress and sandals.
He surprised her with a necklace and earrings to wear. Love her smile.
They see each other.
Halfway down the aisle dad reached over and put his hand on hers she looked at him and I was done for. Its a good thing autofocus works when the tears start flowing. Such a sweet moment.
 The chapel.
The rings, the kiss, the smiles...ahh, how I love weddings :)
 Totally fun wedding party.
 Some alone time.
Check out one of their amazing engagement photos on the IBC Cream soda bottle :) You can see more of their engagement photos here if you want.
So they had pie instead of cake. I am told that she bought him a buttermilk pie before they were even dating and he loved it and so they decided to have the pie at their wedding. LOVE it! There are a pie on every table. What a fun idea.
 The bouquet toss.
 High-five exit to bells.
Congratulatons Daniel and Nicole! I'll have the rest of your photos edited for you soon.
