Camp Samantha

I am loving Samantha's Bat Mitzvah photos. Here theme was perfect and so much fun. We took some wonderful rehearsal photos at Shearith Israel on Thursday and then even more on Saturday at her amazing party at The Clubs at Prestonwood. Here's a peek at Camp Samantha!

Meet the beautiful Samantha.
I was able to capture a few photos during the rehearsal.
and then we had about an hour to take family portraits in the sanctuary.
Love these family shots with the Torah.
So Samantha read the same Torah portion that her mom rad at her Bat Mitzvah. I think that is so super amazing.
 All her grandparents.
Some family photos in front of the Ark.
I absolutely love this with the parents and grandparents with the Torah in front of the Ark.
A few of Samantha with the Torah alone to celebrate her accomplishment.
Saturday evening it was time for Camp Samantha. Love this theme.
The room looked awesome in pink and purple light.
Such a fun heme to decorate for. I love the wooden signs and "fireflies" in jars along with care packages as seating cards and cabins with table numbers on them. So cute!
Samantha ran through a tunnel of her family and friends as she was introduced.
Then her friends spontaneously bowed to her. Love that!
Then the party started! Hula Hoop Contest.
and D.J. PLove rocking the dance floor all night.
Samantha and her friends had a whole choreographed dance to Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer that everyone had fun dancing to.
Bruce Wolpert of Picture this Green Screen took tons of photos on the green screen.
and then they watched the montage.
Love this reaction to a photo on the screen.
 Daddy daughter dance.
And after a while mom and Evan joined in the dance too.
Samantha gets ready for the Hora.
 Up in the chair.
I love it when everyone in the family takes part in the Hora.
Group photo time.
Love this.
Samantha's party ended with jumping on bubble wrap.
 I think they liked it.
 Congratulations Samantha!

Mason's Senior Portraits

Wow. I've been so busy I haven't had time to blog lately but last weekend I spent a few hours with this handsome man and just had to share a few of his senior photos.

Mason is a senior at Mansfield High and plays on the golf team. He's a pretty amazing young man. We took a few photos at the golf course.
and then we headed downtown for a few more. He's considering Arkansas or Tech for college...we all know where I think he should go :) Wreck em!
A few with his letter jacket.
 and his truck.
Congratulations Mason! I can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Family Portrait Time!

It's that time of year when the parks in Dallas/Fort Worth are full of families getting photos done for their holiday cards, and I love the families that choose me to capture some special memories for them. The last few weeks have been filled with sessions and I've been editing like crazy, but I wanted to try to share a few from Jessica and Gregg's family session over the weekend. Such a fun family. The two older kids are heading off to college next year while T is turning two.
We actually set up the session to get some two year old photos of this sweet little man. Love his smiles...he was full of energy and loved being outside for the photos.
I had the kids all help me get mom and dad to smile for a photo too :)
 Love these smiles and cuddles.
But most of all I love this...so cute. Once he got started running under the "bridge" he didn't want to stop.
Thanks for having me take your family portraits this season! I'll have them all ready for you soon!

Tori & Ian are married!

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Tori and Ian's perfect wedding. It was magical. Here's a quick peek at their amazing evening at the Dallas Arboretum planned by the fabulous Kristen Powell of Amazing Events. Gorgeous!
Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom, Tori and Ian.
The ceremony went of beautifully and then the reception was held on the lawn under strings of lights. It was a fairy tale in green and gold.
Sweet first dance moment.
While the guests were lining up for the exit I got a chance to grab a few last photos of the happy couple. I love these.
 Flower petal sendoff!
I'll have more photos edited soon! Congratulations!!

Fort Worth Family Portraits

I love this family...that is all.
I think I've been taking their family photos for about 5 or 6 years now...maybe more and this year they added a sweet puppy to the mix.
And what a sweet dog she is...seriously...this dog was smiling for photos. Although the outtakes where she's licking Ethan in the face make me laugh.
Taylor and the kids were awesome and made this the easiest photo session ever.  We got so many great photos with everyone looking at the camera and smiling.
We did try to get one without the dog and Taylor totally photo-bombed it. Really...the dog was not supposed to be in this one and she popped up at the last minute.
A few more cute kid and dog photos.
Lucy is getting so grown up.
And Ethan, as always, was my favorite model.
A few more of the kids.
Love these with dad and with mom.
The girls and the boys.
Love this family photo.
So we had to get a little silly into our session.  Pre-jump, jump and untucked post-jump.
Eho wants to watch mom and dad kiss? not E!
 Love these two.
So we've been taking a version of this basic photo since Lucy was about 1 where Ethan is kissing her and I love it. My favorite.
Thanks for always making great photos for me to take :)
