It's Football Season :)

I got to spend some time this evening at one of my favorite places, TCU. They held their annual women's football clinic and it was a fun event. They had coaches and players answering questions and they even brought in a referee to explain some of the rules of the game.

Here are a few highlights.
I'm going to start with a photo from the end of the night. This player was so much fun at the end of the night he walked the catwalk like a model. All the players and coaches were having a great time at the event.
They had purple margaritas for the ladies!! So cool.
But it's all about the football!
The players laugh while the coaches are up on the stage.
The room was packed.
Like it. Enough Said. (Look at last year's championship ring on his finger. WOW!)
A fun shot of Patterson and his players.
I love the background in this room. So cool.
The quarterback pulls out his phone to take a photo of his offensive lineman on the stage.
Three talented players sang for the ladies.
The women even got to try on the helmets after the program.
At the end of the night, the uniform mannequins have to be put away. I think this is a funny photo.

Diana and Matt's Wedding

Diana and Matt were married at Grace Covenant Church in Arlington with a reception at Shady Valley Golf Club it was a beautiful day! Diana is one of my former students and when she called me to photograph her wedding I jumped at the chance.

A fun reflection in the makeup compact mirror while she was getting made up for the wedding at Legacy Salon.

Diana and her mom putting on earrings.

So let me tell you a little story. A few years ago doctor's found a benign tumor on Diana's spine and they removed it, but when she woke up from surgery she had no feeling in her legs. When I met her to talk about photographing her wedding she was walking with a cane and she told me her goal was to walk down the aisle at her wedding. Diana has so much strength and determination and this is her first step down the ailse on her father's arm. Let me tell you, there was not a dry eye in the house. I was even crying. Diana is an amazing woman.

So this might be my favorite photo. I love that Matt and Diana are looking at each other but their parents are looking at them. It's really sweet.

This church was beautiful. A runner down the center aisle scattered with rose petals and fabric draped along the pews and the backlit cross front and center. So pretty to photograph.

We're married!

A kiss in the elevator as they sneak away after the ceremony.

I love this shot of their hands as they pray before the food is served at the reception.

Between the cakes.

A little closer shot of the cake cutting.

The first dance.

They had the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances at the same time. It was really sweet.

Look how happy they all are.

Dancing with Scott.

The bubble exit!

Love my Darling Diana! Thanks for letting me share your special day!

Darling Diana

Diana was a truly beautiful bride. Now that her wedding is over I can safely post a few of her bridal portraits. It's been hard for me to keep them a secret for the past month. We went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens in June to take these wonderful photos.
Her dress was gorgeous.

Her eyes are amazing. I love this one...

...and this one too.

She is simply breathtaking.

The Portraits

I've been editing all day and I'm finally done with the portraits from Diana and Matt's wedding. They had a super fun wedding party and we all had a good time taking photos. Here are my favorites
The gorgeous girls in the sanctuary.

I told you they were a super fun wedding party.

The fabulous guys. They rocked the shoot. We got it in one take.

Love the retro feel of this one we took right after the ceremony.

they are so happy and perfect together.

A sweet moment.

I love love LOVE this one.

And for the grand finale...a dip, which is not nearly as easy as it looks.

I think I'll have to share a few of Diana's beautiful bridal photos in my next post ;)

The Details

Diana and Matt's wedding was full of beautiful details. Here are a few of my favorites.
From the Bride.
The Dress.

The Veil.

The Pearls.

From the ceremony.
The reserved cards on the first three rows of seats.

Matt and Diana wrote their own vows and the pastor was nice enough to give me the page from the ceremony script with the vows on it. I photographed their rings on their vows, then I gave the page to the bride and groom so they would have it for a keepsake.

From the Reception
The cakes...the Groom's mom made the brownies, and she even sent some home with me. They were fantastic. I ate a few while I was editing today :)

Diana's gorgeous bouquet.

Diana and Matt are married!

Diana and Matt were married today in the most intimate wedding ceremony I've seen. The sanctuary was packed full of friends and family all praying and singing with the bride and groom. It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. I've photographed a lot of weddings and this is the first time I've seen the congregation sing along with the bride and groom. It was absolutely amazing, the room was truly filled with love.

Here is a sneak peek for you :)

I stopped on the way to the church and photographed the sign :)

Both bride and Groom prayed with family and friends before the ceremony. I love the hands on them. These were moments I will never forget.

Diana and Matt see each other for the first time.

Rose petals line the aisle leading up to the bride and groom under the cross.

Diana smiles as Matt slips the ring on the right finger...

Absolutely gorgeous. This couple is perfect for each other.
